**News**: Announcing  Ride For Climate USA

School Partnerships

The goals of this website are mostly educational--I want you to learn more about climate change and the Americas. As such, I am visiting schools, giving short presentations and encouraging students to follow me along in my travels. If you are a teacher in any grade k-12, live in Northern California or Massachusetts (I will be in Massachusetts for much of September), and would like me to give a presentation for your class, you should contact me. In late October and early November, I will be biking south through California, and can also make stops along the way in other parts of California. The presentations can be anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour, and will be tailored to the grade level. I would especially like to target enviromental studies classes or Spanish classes, but all are welcome to contact me.

I hope to continue these presentations as I travel through Latin America. As an undergraduate, I spent a term studing in Chile, and am proficient in conversing in Spanish. If you are a teacher in a town along my route, and see that I am going to be traveling through, you should email me a few weeks in advance, as I will only have intermittent email contact as I travel.

A byproduct of these interactions and my posting of pictures and stories is that students will have the ability to see what classrooms are like throughout other parts of the Americas. I hope this will only build on my theme: encouraging people to think of themselves as global citizens and be aware of how our actions affect the rest of the earth.
