I will probably stay in hostels about half of the time during my travels, and camp in my tarptent the other half. I have shopped at Mike’s Bikes of Palo Alto many times over the past few years, and now they are providing me with excellent discounts and building me a new rear wheel for my bike. The strength of your rear wheel is very important while bike touring, and I have heard great reviews of the wheel builder at Mike’s Bikes (the store used be called ‘Wheelsmith’).
